Schlage locks integrate with Quintron

Friday, March 2, 2012

Quintron Systems Inc. announced that the Schlage AD Series locks integrate with Quintron’s security platforms to provide a simpler installation for organization’s wanting to deploy physical access control solutions.

Quintron’s client-server physical access control solution is host and client operating system independent, supporting Windows, Linux and OSX servers and any combination of browser-based thin clients.

Database options include: Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle on the application server or separate database server. The system also supports VM, fault tolerant and cluster server configurations to meet business continuity, disaster recovery and high availability requirements.

Whether hosting on-premise, in the cloud or in a 24/7 Security Operations Center, the Quintron solution system offers flexibility. By adding Schlage AD Series support, the on-the-door locking device can be simplified.

“Installing a traditional access controlled door is a time consuming and complex effort when using separate components such as the card reader on the wall, the door position switch, the request to exit sensor, the electric strike, lockset or mag lock, plus the power supply and the system-to-door interface board,” says Rick Foster, director of marketing and sales in Security Systems Division at Quintron. “In addition, with all the associated conduit and cable it takes two installers to complete an average of two doors per eight-hour day. The same installation task when installing a wireless Schlage AD series cylindrical or mortise lockset, with all of the same features as the traditional configuration, cuts installation time down to two doors per hour versus the two doors per day.” [end]
