“Installing a traditional access controlled door is a time consuming and complex effort when using separate components such as the card reader on the wall, the door position switch, the request to exit sensor, the electric strike, lockset or mag lock, plus the power supply and the system-to-door interface board,” says Rick Foster, director of marketing and sales in Security Systems Division at Quintron. “In addition, with all the associated conduit and cable it takes two installers to complete an average of two doors per eight-hour day.
