FIME, Thales collaborate on testing, certification service

Thursday, December 8, 2011

FIME is joining forces with Thales IT Security Evaluation Facility (ITSEF), a provider of information systems and secure communication in defense, security and transportation markets, to provide a new testing and certification service.

According to FIME, the integrated service will combine Thales’ NFC and mobile payment product security evaluation expertise with FIME’s functional assessment experience. The resulting offering will assist companies in achieving certification for industry standards, such as Common Criteria and EMVCo, and private schemes including MasterCard, Visa and Cryptography Research Inc.

Thales and FIME say they will both continue to support their respective clients while preparing the certification process for market launch. [end]
