Collis has announced that its Card Simulator and Brand Test Tool have both been qualified by MasterCard WorldWide for the formal PayPass Terminal Integration Process (TIP).

According to Collis, the tools are used to test the behavior of the PayPass-enabled terminals according to the MasterCard rules without the need of physical test cards.

The test tools are built to simulate any card - contact or contactless - and can be used with MasterCard card applications such as M/Chip, PayPass M/Chip and other international payment systems. They can even simulate card errors to test the system’s response. According to Collis, this helps iron out any interoperability issues before the terminals are deployed in the field.

The solutions have also been certified as ‘Validation Tools’ for the PayPass TIP, meaning the log files generated by the tools can be sent directly to MasterCard for PayPass TIP certification.
