Vision Database Systems, a developer of mobile ID card tracking solutions, has signed an agreement with Datastrip, a mobile handheld manufacturer for the ID market, to represent the company in the U.S.
As part of the agreement, VDS will acquire all inventory, process all domestic and international orders, handle marketing and sales, provide tech support for the existing installed base and all future sales for Datastrip in the U.S., as well as promote all associated software sold by Datastrip.
According to VDS, Datastrip will retain its existing facilities and resources at its headquarters in the UK, and will continue to market its solutions in Europe, Dubai and the Far East.
Emil Bonaduce, president of Vision Database Systems, comments: “With Datastrip we can now offer ruggedized ID solutions at lower prices, and expand the market for mobile access control solutions for bar code, mag stripe, prox, iClass, Mifare, and even fingerprints.”
VDS says the bulk of the inventory will be stored at VDS partner Screencheck NA in Ft Wayne, Ind. All marketing, sales, ready inventory, order provisioning and tech support will be provided to new and existing Datastrip accounts from VDS’ headquarters in Jupiter, FL.
