FIME achieves EMVCo Accreditation

Monday, June 27, 2011

Global smart card consulting and integration testing services firm FIME has received Contactless Specification version 2.0.1 Level 1 from EMVCo, the EMV standards body.

EMVCo is the EMV standards group owned by American Express, JCB, MasterCard and Visa. Its functions are to award laboratories accreditation in the EMV field and qualify test tools that can grant EMV product approval.

FIME developed its analog level 1 testing technology to become EMVCo’s first certified laboratory.

With this designation, FIME will be able to certify contactless card product compliance to EMVCo’s level 1 contactless specifications that determine the base functionality for operation and market interoperability of contactless payment cards. [end]
