Tuesday, May 31, 2011

On Track Innovations has received a new $6 million order to support of the expansion of an unnamed country’s national ID program. According to OTI, the new order is in support of an existing ID project announced last year, for which OTI supplied its end-to-end turnkey eID solution based on its Magna platform.

The system includes both stationary and mobile stations for data enrollment and card issuance, the creation of a central national registry database, as well as the provision of contactless smart ID cards and a Biometric Automatic Fingerprint Identification System.

Additionally, the ID solution supports both online and offline communication, allowing every citizen living in cities and rural areas to apply for an ID card regardless of the area’s communication infrastructure, says OTI.

The company expects to see revenues from the order this year. [end]
