MaxID acquires Enterprise Air's MBM physical access suite

MaxID Corp. announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire Enterprise Air’s Mobile Badge Management Manager (MBM) software suite. The MBM server provides communications and exchange of information with a variety of physical access systems from manufacturers such as LenelOnGaurd, Software House, AMAG, and Honeywell.

The MBM suite verifies various card-based credentials such as proximity, HID iClass and MiFare and Desfire cards. The mobile solution verifies entry credentials and ensures quick and accurate accounting of employees and visitors to a facility, anywhere and anytime.


With the addition of the MBM product suite from Enterprise Air, MaxID will be able to provide several end-to-end solutions consisting of handheld devices, identity and security software and PACS connectivity - including the maritime market for transportation worker identification credentials, the oil, gas, power generation and transportation facilities.

The MaxIDentity Suite contains a series of ready-to-use applications to read PIV, PIV-I, TWIC, CAC, FiXS, and FRAC smart cards as well as passports, ePassports, Seafarer ID cards, and driver’s licenses. The software suite is available on the MaxID line of multi-modal portable devices including the iDL500, iDL502, and iDL520 today. [end] 

Multimodal biometric security provider ImageWare Systems Inc. has released version 2.0 of its Biometric Engine (BE) physical security identification product.

This product is designed for airports, seaports and other critical points-of-access for government and private enterprises. This update takes into account the SAFE Port Act, which requires foreign shippers to secure cargo being shipped to the U.S. and ensure the identity of those loading it. Shippers must manage this by 2013.
