Dell India integrates contactless reader, biometrics in new laptops

Dell India is equipping its range of new Latitude E series laptops with integrated contactless smart card readers and biometric fingerprint scanners, according to Techcircle.in.

Dell’s integrated contactless reader is designed to enable employees to securely log into their laptop using their contactless employee ID cards. The biometric fingerprint scanner provides an additional level of security, ensuring that only authorized personnel can use the laptop.


The new range of Latitude laptops, which includes the E5420, E5520, E6220, E6320, E6420, E6520, E6420ATG, all feature Sandy Bridge processors, WLAN and 3G integrated support, data protection, remote data delete and a free fall sensor.
