Snapper, EventFinder launch contactless payment card for 2011 Outgames

Friday, March 4, 2011

Snapper, New Zealand’s smart ticketing company, has partnered with EventFinder to provide an integrated contactless ticketing solution for participants in the 2nd AsiaPacific Outgames.

Participants in the Outgames, a major international gay and lesbian sport, culture and human rights event, will receive contactless personalized ID cards for payment and transport around Wellington.

Snapper CEO Miki Szikszai says, “The partnership with EventFinder means that Outgamers can now also buy tickets to the Outgames parties on the EventFinder Web site and have these loaded against their Snapper-powered Outgames ID card. Once party goers top it up, they will be able to travel to the party, gain access into the party, buy food and drinks, and travel home again, all on the same Snapper-powered Outgames ID card.

The Asia Pacific Outgames runs from March 12-19 in Wellington, New Zealand. Outgames party tickets are on sale now for all registered Outgames participants at EventFinder.co.nz. [end]
