EVOLIS and BlueStar have announced a partnership to offer turnkey contact and contactless smart card printing solutions in the U.S. and Latin America markets.

Under the new partnership, BlueStar, a global distributor of ADC, mobility, point-of-sale, RFID, digital signage, and ID technology solutions, is now a distributor of the full line of EVOLIS plastic card printing products in the U.S. and Latin America.

EVOLIS at BlueStar will also include the distribution of EVOLIS cleaning kits, printer ribbons, replacement kits, additional cards feeders and other spare parts and supplies, designed for all EVOLIS products.

LEGIC expands to Spain with new partner Softmachine

LEGIC Identsystems Ltd expanded its partner network in Southern Europe with the announcement of a joint venture with Spain-based security company Softmachine Systems.

The new affiliation aims to produce contactless access control solutions and installations for multifunctional visitor management including applications for electronic payment and time and attendance.

Saudi bank deploys Gemalto banking cards

Al Bilad Bank, a Shariah-based financial organization in Saudi Arabia, has deployed Gemalto’s Dexxis Instant Issuance solution for EMV payment cards in more than 120 bank branches. With this system, Al Bilad can issue up to 2,000 EMV DDA high-end security smart cards a day.

NiSCA to demo new printer at NACCU

Plastic card printer NiSCA has rolled out its newest retransfer printer, the PR-C201, which will be displayed at the 19th annual National Association of Campus Card Users conference in Seattle, Wash., April 21-25.
