RF IDeas’s has released a product that enables organizations and systems integrators to quickly and easily find out what type of access control badges are in circulation. The analyzer, a USB dongle, simply reads the card and gives a read out of the manufacturer and type of card being read, says Ron Fiedler, director of business development at the company.

“The bulk of the market that we intend this product for simply needs to know what the technology is because then they can match to the version of the reader,” Fiedler says. “It doesn’t come down to the bits and bytes and facility code and ID.”

RF IDeas has announced the release of its new pcProx Enroll reader for physical access control.

According to RF IDeas, the reader is compatible with more than 300 million physical access proximity cards, allowing employees to use their building access card for other forms of identification and security throughout the workplace.
