Simage releases multi-funtion contactless terminal

Dubai’s Simage Technologies has unveiled its new contactless terminal, a multi-function device designed for use in financial services, the public sector, transportation and mobile communications.

The compact, portable contactless terminal features a touchpad screen, printer and multi-biometrics support for user authentication, and supports ISO 14443 Type A/B standards as well as the ISO 21481 standard for NFC-enabled devices.


The terminal uses the Android operating system and can be connected to the host system via Ethernet, RS232, GPRS, and Wi-Fi. Simage also says that it can customize the terminal as per service provider’s requirements of color, branding and functionality. [end] 

Dubai-based Simage Technologies has announced the release of its new Secure Contactless Token, a multi-purpose biometric device for secure ID, payments and secure authentication.

With the new device, users can securely access their bank accounts online, pay for public transportation or goods at supporting retail locations, access e-government services with secure ID verification and store electronic health records.

China’s GYRFID has announced the release of its new ISO14443A Mifare 1K/ Mifare 4K/ Mifare Ultralight multi-function contactless card.

The 13.56Mhz, 512bit contactless card is suitable for public transportation, payment systems, logistics, e-ticketing and more, according to GYRFID, and measures 86mm by 54mm, with a thickness of 0.84mm.
