Wednesday, April 14, 2010

New Zealand’s SmartPay today announced it will begin delivery of its software for the PAX range of Electronic Funds Transfer at Point of Sale (EFTPOS) terminals.

China-based PAX is the fifth largest EFTPOS terminal supplier in the Asia Pacific markets, producing more than 300,000 units per year.

Through the PAX agreement, SmartPay will offer customers a wider range of EFTPOS hardware, including S80 counter tops, SP30 pin pads, S90 mobile, S90 Wi-Fi - and software at the forefront of compliance and security standards.

The contactless terminals resulting from the partnership will be used in New Zealand as part of Wellington City’s Snapper Card solution for Total Mobility, according to SmartPay. [end]
