Atlantic Zeiser to present new White Ink card printing technology

Monday, March 1, 2010

Atlantic Zeiser Group, a provider of card personalization solutions, has announced it will present new printing technology for the manufacturing of all types of cards, including EMV, at Cartes Asia in Hong Kong and Singapore.

The centerpiece of the presentation will be Atlantic Zeiser’s “White Ink Printing,” which, according to the company, improves the look and feel of cards with dark backgrounds, as well as significantly lowers the cost per card.

White Ink Printing, enabled by Atlantic Zeiser’s OMEGA 70p Drop on Demand (DoD) printer, can also simulate embossing.

The company’s presentation will also include its new Secure PIN scratch-off module - an inexpensive alternative to traditional scratch-off labels and scratch-foils for multi-voucher pre-paid applications - and Vericam, Atlantic Zeiser’s new graphical user interface, operational on CARDLINE VERSA systems. [end]

The Smart Card Alliance Transportation Council has published a white paper examining how the transit industry can best make use of NFC technology.

“One of the major challenges facing transit agencies today is how to capitalize on the ever-growing popularity of mobile phones with a solid mobile strategy,” said Transportation Council Chairman Craig Roberts. “This white paper builds on the knowledge base developed in earlier white papers to foster a greater understanding of NFC technology, explain its role in the transit industry, and shed light on key issues facing the transit industry in developing a mobile strategy.”
