iDTRONIC introduces new wristbands, keyfobs

iDTRONIC, supplier of RFID hardware products, introduced its new wristband and keyfob of the EVO series. The wristbands use either proximity or contactless smart card technology within sealed housings that are both practical and waterproof, and come in an assortment of colors.

The keyfob, like the wristband, also encompasses RFID technology with the ability to customize to a customer’s specifications. Users may choose from various colors and even add a corporate logo or design. Serial numbers may also be printed for easy identification.


iDRONIC’s wristband accommodates to an array of applications as its available LF IC Types are EM 4100, 4550, Atmel Temix 5567 as well as the NXP Hitag 1 and 2. As for the HF version, it offers two NXP IC Types - Mifare 1k and I-Code SLI, and also the LEGIC Prime MIM256 and Prime MIM1024.

The keyfob is also available with common ICs in 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz technology, such as the EM 4100, Atmel Temic 5567 and NXPs Hitag 1 and 2 for LF. And for the HF version of the keyfob iDRONIC has NXPs Mifare 1K, I-Code SLI and Mifare Ultralight as well as the LEGIC Prime MIM256 & Prime MIM1024. [end] 

Oberthur Technologies has announced that it will provide its contactless FlyBuy stickers to MasterCard for tap and go payment at festivals and events.

Equipped with MasterCard PayPass technology, the contactless payment stickers were integrated into the wristbands worn by MasterCard selected VIPs at the UK’s Isle of Wight Festival in June. The wristbands enabled contactless payments within the festival facilities in a convenient and secure way for the selected VIPs.

MasterCard announced that it intends to present its contactless payment cards to Azerbaijani financial market in 2012.

According to abc.az, MasterCard is in negotiation with the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, as well as Azerbaijan private banks regarding the implementation of projects on non-cash payments and the introduction of contactless cards for payments for applications in transit, dining and entertainment.
