iDTRONIC releases new readers

iDTRONIC, a supplier of RFID hardware products, introduced two new desktop Readers from its EVO series for multi-tag transponder reading & writing.

The low frequency version of the EVO Desktop Reader supports all EM 4102, 4105, 4550, NXP Hitag 1/2/S FDXB transponders. The high-frequency model of the reader is able to read and write all ISO14443 & ISO15693 transponders including the Mifare family & NXP I-code.


iDTRONIC’s desktop reader enables a full read/write capabilities and comes with a complete software development kit and Microsoft Windows based application software.

The reader/writer targets desktop applications like reading and writing cards and transponders. It can be integrated with POS devices, but also can be used for ticketing, payroll systems, time attendance and access control systems. [end] 

The Dutch Ministry of Defense (MoD) has chosen Identive’s SmartFold smart card readers to provide secure remote network access for its employees.

The agency has a lot of restricted and sensitive data that has particular management requirements. The MoD felt that the Identive contact smart card reader would provide the desired level of security, yet be flexible enough to incorporate into the existing network security infrastructure.
