Legic partners with Open Options

LEGIC Identsystems Ltd has partnered with Open Options, a supplier of integrated security solutions. This partnership will deliver IP access control solutions based on LEGIC technology.

The open architecture of the DNA Fusion product by Open Options allows adaptation to suit customer-specific circumstances and integrates multifunctional identification credentials, contactless readers, IT access as well as video management systems.


Through this partnership Open Options is responding to growing demand in America for LEGIC based security solutions. Open Options offers hardware and software components as well as peripherals, right through to systems integration including all the components of a comprehensive access control system. [end] 

Oracle Corporation has announced that its latest Java Card 3.0.4 platform will include support for NFC to enable secure communication between devices, reports Hothardware.com.

According to Oracle, Java Card enables smart cards and other devices with very limited memory to run small applications, called applets, that employ Java technology. Almost any type of smart card can use Java Card technology, including SIM cards, bank cards, government and health care IDs, smart transit tickets and physical and logical access control credentials.
