HID, Lipi partner for India distribution

HID Global announced its partnership with Lipi Data Systems Ltd. for local assembly and distribution of HID Global’s Fargo brand printers in India.

Located at Udaipur, India, the new production and assembly plant for HID’s Fargo brand printers began its operation as of June 2009, while the first lot of locally assembled printers is scheduled for delivery in early July. Customers are encouraged to contact HID Global India’s regional sales representatives for updates on local availability. [end] 

The Dutch Ministry of Defense (MoD) has chosen Identive’s SmartFold smart card readers to provide secure remote network access for its employees.

The agency has a lot of restricted and sensitive data that has particular management requirements. The MoD felt that the Identive contact smart card reader would provide the desired level of security, yet be flexible enough to incorporate into the existing network security infrastructure.
