Smart cards on the horizon for Vancouncer public transit

Vancouver’s TransLink public transportation system is expected to take the next steps toward deploying a smart card fare system, according to 24 Hours.com.

According to the agenda, decisions to be discussed include: options for cash paying customers; whether entry and exit from the transit system will be required to recorded; integration of West Coast Express, and commercial aspects of the smart cards.
