Alliance presenting on NFC at CTIA

The Smart Card Alliance will present a workshop on NFC-enabled mobile payments and applications at International CTIA WIRELESS 2009, Friday April 3rd from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Room N262 (North Hall, Level 2).

The session is designed to give attendees an understanding of the technology and security mechanisms behind NFC mobile devices, contactless payments, and mobile identity applications; the service provider ecosystem for managing and provisioning personal mobile data and deploying NFC-enabled applications; and the market potential for retail payments, transit payments, and access control through a mobile device
