Monday, March 2, 2009 in News

Compass Group North America, a provider of contract food service and hospitality services to corporations and colleges/universities, will begin accepting MasterCard PayPass at select cafeterias across the U.S.

Compass Group customers, which include employees and guests of corporations, will be able to tap their PayPass cards or devices on specially equipped readers at check-out to pay for their meals.

Throughout 2009, Compass plans to deploy PayPass-accepting Vivotech 4500M contactless readers at check-out lanes at its food service locations.

Compass Group, based in Charlotte, N.C., will accept MasterCard PayPass in addition to all other traditional magnetic-stripe payment card brands. [end]
