New reader from DAILY RFID uses secure digital card interface

DAILY RFID continues its rollout of new devices, now offering the 13.56MHz contactless smart card reader in SD card format. The reader can be plugged into the SD slot on a laptop, PDA, or smartphone, effectively transforming the host device into a low cost RFID reader/writer.


The reader is capable of reading and writing most 13.56mHz HF formats,including ISO/IEC 14443A,ISO/IEC 14443B and ISO/IEC 15693 RFID tags on the market. It can also transmit data from RFID tags wirelessly using WiFi, CDMA, GSM or Bluetooth technology.

The SD Interface RFID Reader is compatible with devices running Microsoft Pocket PC 2002/2003, Windows Mobile 5.0/6.0, Palm OS4.1 or LINUX operating system. [end]
