CPI dual-interface cards MULTOS certified

CPI Card Group, a financial and commercial card manufacturer, announced its certification for a range of dual interface MasterCard solutions using the MULTOS Operating System and PayPass.

CPI developed a method that enables a longer reading distance and the better durability in the market for third and fourth line embossing card requirements. Its suite of solutions for dual interface includes the 8K Step One, the 36K Multos I4F and the 80K Multos I4F. [end] 

Oracle has released a new version of Oracle Retail Point-of-Service that aims to increase security, operational efficiency and functionality in part by integrating biometrics.

Oracle partnered with DigitalPersonal to add integrated biometrics to the POS package. Users of the software will login using their fingerprint, which will replace the need for PINs or passwords. This feature intends to reduce fraud by eliminating the possibility of unauthorized employees using a manager ID or swipe card to access the POS and approve overrides.

Banca Monte Paschi Belgio, the Belgian branch of this banking group, has opted to implement Oberthur Technologies’ end-to-end smart authentication product.

Certified by MasterCard, the solution includes smart display cards, an authentication server and an access control server that will secure e-commerce services and provide a unique and innovative payment solution to Banca Monte Paschi Belgio customers.

Australasia payment services provider ABnote has been successfully certified by Visa and MasterCard to produce Multos and Java EMV dual-interface smart banking cards in its Christchurch, New Zealand facility.

Collis has announced that its Terminal Function Test Tool (FTT) has been qualified to implement Interac Association’s “Reader Terminal Interoperability and Confidence Test Guide.”

According to Collis, the Terminal FTT incorporates all the tests specified in the guide, which is designed to ensure that a terminal supporting both contact and contactless interfaces is compliant with the Dual Interface (DI) specifications put forth by Interac.

NagraID demonstrated its latest line of display cards at this year’s ShowStoppers@CES exhibition at the Wynn Las Vegas hotel.

These display cards enable cardholders to use one device for payment, physical access, online account security and transactions for card not present environments. The credit card-sized display cards contain an integrated LCD for displaying single-use passwords, personalized messages and other critical information.
