Oberthur makes name change

Wednesday, June 11, 2008

Effective June 10th, Oberthur Card Systems of America Corp. became Oberthur Technologies of America Corp. The change reflects both a need for continuity with its parent company, which became Oberthur Technologies SA last year, and an expansion of the company’s business focus beyond card systems.

In the last year, Oberthur has expanded its scope to include passports and other identity products beyond its traditional card business. The new name emphasizes the range of options it presents its clients in the identity market. [end]
