Security systems of Dorlet gain strength with LEGIC®

Wednesday, August 22, 2007

A Spanish developer of access control products, Dorlet, will be integrating LEGIC Identsystems’ contactless technology into its security systems, the two recently announced. The new license agreement will provide LEGIC a stronger presence in Spain while giving Dorlet a wider menu of options it can offer its customers.

Zurich–LEGIC Identsystems Ltd, the leading supplier of contactless smart card technology for personal identification applications and Dorlet, the principal Spanish company developing and manufacturing access control products and integrating systems, have signed a licence agreement. Dorlet will integrate the LEGIC contactless technology into a wide range of their security systems. The Swiss company is thereby strengthening its presence in Spain to an even greater extent by working closely with the company whose systems are installed in some of the most complex security installations in the country like museums and airports.

For 20 years Dorlet, based in Alavés in Northern Spain, has been designing security systems at the cutting edge of software and hardware, and consequently offering a full range of products for access control, time and attendance, visitor management as well as integration of security and access control systems in hotels. During these two decades of operations, the company has installed its leading edge technology at a number of renowned buildings in Spain, and has now decided to go one step further by signing a licence agreement with LEGIC.

Klaus U. Klosa, Managing Director of LEGIC, had no hesitation in hailing the success of the agreement reached with the Spanish company: “Without doubt the experience of a leading company in the market such as Dorlet, combined with its constant research into the technology and the quality of its products, form an excellent basis for an agreement that promises to be very beneficial for both parties. For LEGIC, the license agreement represents a major opportunity to become better established in the Spanish market through a very reliable company.

Feli Markinez, Managing Director of Dorlet, also demonstrated his satisfaction with the agreement, pointing out “the reliability of the state-of-the-art technology of LEGIC, without doubt, will support us to optimise our installations. The agreement opens up a wider range of options for our business, inasmuch as it offers us the opportunity to offer our customers a more comprehensive quote of services, as well as the peace-of-mind that such a reputable and reliable company can give”.
