Tentative Programme: A tentative programme for the first two days includes a continuation of the discussions of the previous event, along with new topics and special emphasis on the importance of ICAO-standard, secure travel documents in national aviation security programmes. On the third day a workshop will be offered, focussing on the technical issues of upgrading to ePassports and the functions and usage of the prospective ICAO Public Key Directory, a project to facilitate authentication of ePassports. Who should attend: The Symposium will be of particular interest to officials of passport issuing agencies, immigration, customs, and other border control and security authorities. Staff of airlines and airports, involved in passenger service systems, handling of travel documents, facilitation and aviation security should also participate.
