ViVOtech Expands Executive Team, Prepares for Growth
SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 21, 2003 - ViVOtech today announced an expansion of its team to include four new members to its management who will oversee engineering, operations, sales and retail chain functions. ViVOtech allows customers, for the first time, to make contactless payments using RF/IR enabled credit cards, access cards and cell phones within existing POS systems, providing convenient, quick and safe payment experience.
The new team includes Anna Stockel, vice president, engineering, Jim Miller, vice president, operations, Nelson Chen, vice president, sales for the western region in US and Don Gentry, vice president of sales for retail chains. Anna Stockel is responsible for all aspects of the company’s research and development activities for hardware and software products, Jim Miller is spearheading production management, contract manufacturing (CM) management, distribution/shipping management, quality control, and customer service, Nelson Chen will play an instrumental role for all sales targeted to acquirers, ISOs, banks, corporate access card users, and mobile phone operators in the western region in the U.S. and Don Gentry is responsible for sales targeted to the retail chains in North America.

All the four executives have held several senior management positions in the past. Anna Stocktel has 17 years of experience including Honeywell-Measurex Corporation. She has a business administration degree from Santa Clara University where she graduated with distinction and a BSEE from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Jim Miller has been a senior operating executive with more than 30 years experience in manufacturing and general management assignments including General Electric. Nelson Chen has extensive sales and sales management experience coupled with a background in financial services, payments processing, credit cards, retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) and worked at Oracle among others. He holds a MS degree in computer science and BS in business management both from the San Jose State University. Don Gentry has over thirteen years of experience in the payments industry including assignments at Diebold and BuyPass and has specific experience introducing new payment types into a wide range of retail and other industries. He is a graduate of the University of Florida, with a B.S. degree in Finance
